THE WORLD’S MIGHTIEST UNSCALED PEAK: MOUNT EVEREST TO BE THE OBJECTIVE OF TWO BRITISH EXPEDITIONS A photograph of Mount Everest (29,002ft.) taken from a distance of 200 miles. Everest is the central peak and the picture shows the clouds which almost constantly veil its summit. The mighty Himalayan peak, which is the highest in the world, is the objective of two expeditions now being organised in England. A party of mountaineers will attempt to scale Everest, while another is to try to fly over its summit in an aeroplane.
