TEELS WINS THE CUP. ALL HUMBUG THE FLYING. Te AWamutu, Dec. 17. The Waipa races were held in fine weather and before a good attendance. The track was excellent. The totalisator handled £10,027, as compared with £10,236 Hast,year. Late results:— Hurdles. —1 On Top 1,2 lull Measure 2, 5 Sub-Editor 3. All started. Won by a neck, third back three lengths. Time, 2.45. Vandykq fell. Cup.—7 Teels (Horne) 1, 9 Trishna (Wiggins) 2, 8 Eager Rose (Baker) 3. Scratched: Limeen, King’s Knave, Glen Bata. Won all the way by a length, third back a nose Time, 2.7 1-5. Hack Handicap.—l Lucidus 1, 7 Rose Lupin 2, 3 Valpai 3. Scratched: Lapstone, Miss Lorraine, Book Law Won all the way by three lengths, third back half a length. Time, 1.13 4-5. Paterangi Handicap—l King’s Knave 1,2 Gold Day 2, 4 Beryl Latour 3. The Rosehill races resulted:— Corinthian Cup.— Sabbath Shoon 10.7 (Quinlan) 1, Potent 12.3 (Melvil) 2, Aravir 10.9 (Logan) 3. Twelve started; including Power. Won in a close finish by half a neck, third back a neck. Power was last. Time 1.28 J. Stately was unplaced in the Dundas Handicap and Kodapen was unplaced in the Carlingford Milo.
