STRIBLING BEATS McCORKINDALE VERDICT ON POINTS Capetown, Dec. 16. There was a big crowd at the specially prepared arena at Johannesburg where Stribling beat McCorkindale, the South African champion, on points. McCorkindale early drew first blood, but was thwarted by holding and mauling. Stribling was often warned. McCorkindale was never dangerous looking, and relied on his defence.
