EXPLORER TO TMI RESCUE.
YOUTHS IN ARCTIC SNOWS.
At the request of the British Mu ister at Stockholm, Mr Clark Kerr, tb Swedish explorer Mr Borg Mooch ha set out across the snow-covered desert of Northern Sweden to intercept tw< English youths who are heading fo< Soviet territory in the Arctic. Tb youths are Reynold Bray, oi Ookham. Surrey, and 1. H. Manning, of Dolling ton, Northampton. Both are forme i Harrow boys. The Minister's action is taken on \ instructions from London following th*publication of a report of the youths' battle in the snows at night with fit wolves.
The British Foreign Office noticed ii the report that the youths, continuing their hazardous journey on the /ringof the Arctic, proposed to cross the Finnish frontier to the Kola Peninsula which is Soviet territory in the Arcta Ocean.
Knowing that they had been refused passport visas for the area by the Rus sian Embassy in London, it is stated the British Foreign Office immediate!, asked Mr Clark Kerr to advise tin youths, for political reasons and Joi their own personal safety, not to al tempt to cross the frontier.
The Minister, unable to get in toue-J with the youths, who were already out side the ordinary lines of ceimmunica tion, telephoned to Mr Borg Mese-h who accompanied them in their aarliei adventures.
Mr Mesch agreed to carry a warning to tho youths, and set out by motor car to search for them in the wild desert around Kiruirn, in the most northerly part of Sweden. Beforleaving he said he hoped to overtake Bray anti Manning a day before they reached the- Finnish bortlcr.
