DARING BURGLARS
DRAPERY VAN REMOVED FROM . GARAGE. £2OO WORTH OF STOCK. By Telegraph—Press Association Ashburton, Nov. 2. Burglars last night forced an entry to A. White’s garage at Methven and removed a drapery van containing £2OO worth of stock, the property of the D.1.C., Christchurch. A fruit shop was also entered but only a few bananas were taken. An attempt to force the doors of Battson’s drapery was unsuccessful. Later: The lorry was found abandoned near Rakaia. Little ’if anything is missing.
