AUSTRALIAN LAMB

OB’. GOOD QUALITY. A recent visitor to this district, who is interested in the export trade of meat from both Australia and New Zealand, stated that excellent drafts of lambs are being received from stations in Victoria. Several instances were given of drafts running into thousands from individual stations weighing from 39 to 421bs. This will come as rather a surprise to many New Zealand farmers, who are under the impression that Australian lambs are small, light and poor quality.
