NAPIER MAGISTRATE’S COURT

(Before Mr J. G. L. Hewitt, S.M.) CASES HEARD TO-DAY. Francis McGill, who was convicted on a charge of disorderly behaviour while drunk, was fined £l. Sergeant J. Daly, conducting the case for the police, stated that the accused had been creating a disturbance in the Public Works office. He had had money owing to him by the department, but it had been considered that he. was not in a fit condition to receive it. He had been asked to call for his money the next morning (to-day), but had refused to leave the office, and the police had been called in. THE CIVIL LIST. Ltd. £5 4s forthwith, in default five days’ imprisonment.
