QUEENSLAND’S WORST DEFEAT. Britbant, Oct. 31. Vietoria defeated Queensland in the first Sheffield Shield match by an innings and 329 runs. Queensland in the second innings made 169 —Hansen 59, Gough.4o. Fleetwood-Smith took two for 72, Blackie two for 19 and Alexander two for 21. It was the worst defeat ever suffered by Queensland. TNE NAWAB OF FATAUDI NOT COMING TO DOMINION. Sydney, Oct. 31. The Nawab of Pataudi is not going to New Zealand with the English team. He leaves after the Australian tour finishes at Adelaide for India, where affairs of State depend upon his presence.
