ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING Tho annual general meeting of the 'ltTetaunga Life Saving and Swimming Club was held in the Chamber of CornmTT [“T 5 ’ L HastlD g s >. last evening, • A. 1. Kainbow presiding over a bin attendance of enthusiasts. In moving the adoption of the annual report (previously published) and the ■alance sheet, the chairman said that tv ?n o 1 8 showed a surplus of ti ‘i I " hlch " as most satisfactory. Hie club’s financial position was the strongest that it has ever been, there being no liabilities, and assets amountlh!4 to the value of £155 3/11, included Ju mg £67 13 /H which was actual'lv held in cash, it was very pleasing to see that the committee had carried on the policy of living within the income of the club. U was no easy matter tor the revenue of the club was not substantial, but to live within the income was the foundation of any successful sporting club, and the Heretaunga Swimming Club might justly credit itself with being a successful club. The affairs of the club had been | very abPy managed, each and every i member of the committee having given ’ wonderful service. Just how much was I not fully realised by the members or ‘he general public. The ladies’ committee, too, had given great service to the club. The motion was carried without discussion ELECTION OF OFFICERS. The election of officers rebutted as tollows:—Patron, Mr G. A. Maddison • president, Mr A I.
