A three-roomed cottage at Bay View caught fire yesterday morning and was totally destroyed. The house, which was unoccupied at the time, was the property of Mr Nathan, of Taihape, but it was leased by Mr H. Nichols, of Bay View. The cause of the fire remains a mystery, but investigations are being carried out by the police. It is not known what insurance there was ou the cottage.
