A message from Copalis Beach, Washington, states that Nat Browne, of Now York, to-day lifted his all-metal monoplane, in which he hopes to fly to Japan, with a load of 5,0001b5., trom the beach here after a mile and a quarter run, using sandbags for weight. He hopes to complete the tests with 7,500 lbs., which is approximately the weight of the fuel that will be required for his prospective flight. He is returning to Seattle before Sunday to instal in the fuselage a large fuel.tank which will hold 800 gallons.
