Yorkshire match, played an amazing innings, making 194 out of 292. He segred this total in 165 minutes, this being his tenth century of the season. Sutcliffe and Leyland scored 102 runs off six overs. Sutcliffe scored his last 82 in 20 minutes. County cricket results are as follows:— Middlesex in the first innings mad* 442—Killick 128. Derby in the first innings made 290—Peebles six for 104—followed on and lost six wickets for 302 —Townsend not out 153. Middlesex won on the first innings. Essex in the first innings made 826— Nichols 105, Taylor 106; Bowes nine tor 121—and in the second innings W. Yorkshire in the first innings made 4*6 for nine wickets (decl.) —Sutcliffe 194. Yorkshire won by an innings and eiglt runs.
Hampshire in the first innings made 142—Gregory four for 27—and in tie second 223—A110m five for 66. Surrey in the first made 316—Gregory 94-a 4 d jn the second lost two for 60. Surrey won by eight wickets. Sussex in the first innings made 272 —Duleepainhji 83. Glamorgan in the first made 96—J. Langridge four for 30—and followed on to make 134— Langridge four for 35. Sussex won by an innings and 42 runs.
Gloucester in the first innings made 378—Hammond 164, Dacre 57—and tn the second 165—Sibbles five for SE. Lancashire in the first made Paynter 103—and in the second 228— Sinfield four for 19. Gloucester won by 44 runs. Notts in the first innings lost nine for 325 (decl.)—Walker 101—and In the seeond 145—Jupp four for N. Northants in the first made 267—5. Staples seven for 83—and in the seeond 131 —Staples five for 52. Notts won try 72 runs.
Worcester in the first innings lost nine for 502 (decl.) —Gibbons 186—and in the second lost one for 127 (deci.) Leicester in the first made 371—Berry 107—and in the second lost five for 91. Worcester won on the first innings, INDIA v. SOMERSET. London, Aug. 12. India in the second innings made IM for seven wickets (declared) —Naidu not out 130. Somerset in the second innings made 179—Naidu four for 39, Godambe four for 47. India won by 163 runs. REGRET AT ROBINS DECISION. London, Aug. 12. Newspapers regret Robins* decision, which deprives England of a bowler who might have played a great part towards winning the teats. .
