SCHOOL RUGBY
ROSS SHIELD COMPETITION. NAPIER BEAT HASTINGS IN SEMIFINAL. The Napier primary school representatives eliminated the Hastings representatives and entered the final of the Ross Shield competition this morning. The game was played at Nelson Park, Hastings, and proved an interesting game, the Napier team playing bright football to win by the comfortable margin of 16 points to three.
Scorers for Napier were Eddy, (penalty goal), Miller (try), Hickey (two conversions, a try and a penalty goal). Hastings’ three points comprised a try by Horton. Mr. K, McKenzie refereed.
