GRAND NATIONAL STEEPLECHASE AT RICCARTON.— Top left horses jumping the stand double in the second time round in the Grand National Steeplechase at Christchurch The winning horse, Billy Boy, is on the right of the horses that have just cleared the second jump of the double. Bottom left, finish of the Grand National, the winner being accompanied by a riderless horse as he passes the winning post, a similar happening the second horse Paris. Top right, Billy Boy returning to the saddling paddock, followed by Paris and Royal Visitor, second and third respectively. Bottom right, finish of the Winter Cup, the big flat event of the day. The favourite, Fast Passage, fighting out a close finish with Merry Peel, Red Heckle being a good three lengths away third, followed by Minerval.
