During the past season of Association football in England, the noted Tottonham Hotspur Club spent £14,000 in efforts to strengthen its team. But its gate-receipts fell about £7OOO below those for tho previous year, when the club also had a loss. It has now been announced that the club lost £7OOO on last season's working. Smaller attendances are also blamed for the fact that the Bury Club lost £3360 last season.
