Beech Timber Industry.
The Westland Timber Workers’, Union has forwarded a protest to tho State Forestry Minister against the expenses of Mr Entrican’s visit to. England being paid by tho Government on the ground that his mission assists sawmillers to exploit the workers. The union declares that if English orders are secured there will be no chance of continuity of supplies unless workers’ wages and other conditions are safeguarded by a new award,—Press Association.
