An all-British final was assured at the' Rye tennis tournament on Saturday when Mrs. Pittman to-day defeated Marjorie Bachs (Boston), 7—5, 6—l, and Joan Ridley eliminated Mrs. Mcßride (New York), 6—4, 6 —2. Austin entered the quarter finals by defeating Jack Tidball (Hollywood), 14—12, 5—7, 6—4; Coen defeated Perry 4—6, 9—7, 6—4; .Olliff defeated Bryant Grant (Atlanta), 4 —6, 6 —3, 6—3; Mangiu defeated Avoiy, 7—5, 5—7, 6—3.
