WAIPUKURAU BEAT NAPIER. FIVE POINTS TO FOUR. (From Our Special Representative.) Waipukurau, July 23. To-day at Waipukurau, Napier High School (second) met Waipukurau (first) in a Bugby match. In the first half Napier High drew first blood, Boland securing a nice field goal, which put Napier four points up. In the second half A. Svenson scored a nice try for Waipukurau High School near the posts, and G. Jamieson had no difficulty in converting. This put Waipukurau ahead by 5 to! Fast play followed, Napier storming the opposition goal, but the local lads threw them back by swift counter attacking. The final whistle went with Waipukurau the winners. Napier High School ..... 4 Waipukurau D.H.S. ....... 5 Mr. W. Woodward refereed.
