HIGH SCHOOLS’ MATCH
WAIPUKURAU BEAT NAPIER. FIVE POINTS TO FOUR. (From Our Special Representative.) Waipukurau, July 23. To-day at Waipukurau, Napier High School (second) met Waipukurau (first) in a Bugby match. In the first half Napier High drew first blood, Boland securing a nice field goal, which put Napier four points up. In the second half A. Svenson scored a nice try for Waipukurau High School near the posts, and G. Jamieson had no difficulty in converting. This put Waipukurau ahead by 5 to! Fast play followed, Napier storming the opposition goal, but the local lads threw them back by swift counter attacking. The final whistle went with Waipukurau the winners.
