RECORD WEIGHT
LITTER OF PIGS. We recently published the weight of a litter of pigs, which was supposed to be a world’s record, but we have since been supplied with the weight of a litter on a local dairy farm on the Pakowhal road, which easily beats the record quoted. Our correspondent states that they are the progeny of a Large White sow, which farrowed seven pigs. At eight weeks old the average weight was 61.141b5. Meatmeal, pollard and an addition of minerals were used with the milk
