FAIR PRICES AT WHANGAREI. Whangarei, June 10. The fourth annual pedigree female sate held under the auspices of the Whangarei Jersey Club was held at the Kensington Show Grounds m good weather and m the presence of a large number of buyers. The entries were good and the quality excellent. About 90 lots were sold and the prices realised were .considered very satisfai tory considering present-day conditions. The best price paid during the sate was 63 guineas, which Dr. G. Walker, of Maunu, paid for Mr A. E. Phillips’s heifer Someview Sunray. In addition, Dr. Walker paid 40 guineas for Silverdale Rosamond sold by Mr George Hodgson. Mr H. Armstrong, of Maunu, paid 51 guineas for Mr J. G. Hodgson’s heifer Miss Valma.
