Everton is assured of the League championship with 55 points and two matches in hand. Arsenal is second with 52 points and one match unplayed. Blackpool and Westham each have 31 points and Grimsby 30. Each has another match to play, and is fighting to avoid relagation to the second division, of which the loaders are Wolverhampton 56 and Leeds United, 54. These teams with enter the first division.
