SUPREME COURT

NAPIER SESSIONS CASES FOR HEARING. FAIRLY LENGTHY LIST. The following cases have been set down for hearing at Napier at the next session of the Supreme Court, which commences on Monday next before his Honour Mr Justice McGregor:— CRIMINAL TRIALS. Rex v. George Alexander Wilson, alleged arson (retrial from last session). Rex v. Walter Hislop, alleged theft (two charges). Rex v. Horace Robson, alleged false pretences. Rex v. Sydney George Britten, alleged breaking, entering and theft. FOR SENTENCE. The following prisoners will be sentenced:— Thomas Cunningham, fraudulently omitting to pay (11 charges). Peter Chrystall, breaking, entering and theft (two charges). Henry John Beck, breaking, entering the theft. Roy Barlton Caulton, breaking entering and theft. James Howard Goffin and George Alexander Wilson, procuring possession of explosives by means- of trespass; breaking, entering the theft, attempted breaking and entering with intent to commit a crime.

William George Lerew v. William Prebble and James Pegram, claim against first defendant for £350 special damages and £5O general damages tor alleged depreciation in property by reason of grant of right-of-way, and against second defendant for order declaring transfer void and injunction restraining use of right-of-way. William Joseph Gilhooly v. Lambert E. Berggren, claim for £240 Ils special damages and £3OO general damages aris, ing out of motor accident. Bate and Bell, Ltd. v. Henry Bate, claim for £1361 16s 5d allegedly flue upon current account. Ngawai Warena Hunia v. Kate M. Colebourne, claim that defendant as administratrix do execute transfer of land, accounts and costs and counterclaim for possession of land. Arnold B. Williams and ors. v. Alexander Dunn and Cyril Hunter, claim for £23,744 14s 7d, amount allegedly due under guarantees. Alfred W. Parkinson v. Thomas S. Roulston, claim for £550 allegedly owing under mortgage. IN DIVORCE. (Before Judge alone.) Margaret Ann Wall v. Andrew Wall, petition for divorce on grounds of separation. Donovau G. Riddiiord v. Grace M. Riddiford, petition for restitution of conjugal rights. Dorothy C. Parsons v. Wilfred A. Parsons, petition for divorce on grounds of separation.

Dora V. Boese v. Bernard J. Boese, petition for divorce on certain grounds.

Cecelia O. Sargent v. Alfred S. Sargent, petition for divorce on grounds of separation. Annie A. Dwyer v. Patrick J. Dwyer, motion for decree absolute. IN BANCO. Walter J*. Pallet and another v. Catherine A. Dunk and others, originating summons for order as to rate of interest to be allowed on legacies. Raymond H. Le Pine and another v. Mervyn L. Maultsaid, originating summons for order for possession of land. IN BANKRUPTCY. Motions for discharge will bo heard in the following cases:—Daniel David Reichelt, Nathaniel James Wakely, David Masson Gilray and Clarence Edwin Maney. MORTGAGORS’ RELIEF. Included in the list are 35 motions for release under the Mortgagors ’ Relief Act, 1931.
