THE MISSING SUBMARINE

SEARCH CONTINUES. A DIFFICULT TASK. British Official Wireless Service. Rugby, Jan. 29. The search for the M2 continues. An Admiralty announcement expresses the intention of continuing to sweep in the vicinity of where the old wreck was located, as an earlier sweep, which parted, brought up a pair of submarine flags in a canvas case.

The task confronting the searchers is immensely difficult, as the sea bed in the bay is dotted with over 200 old wrecks. The flags brought up during the sweep are under expert examination at the dockyard to see if there is likelihood of any connection with M2. Divers and mooring lighters are being held in readiness for an emergency call. Many expressions of sympathy have been received from abroad.
