RED REVOLUTION IN SPAIN FAILS
OUTBREAKS IN SMALL TOWNS. Madrid, Jan. 26. The Red revolution scheduled for the 25th was a failure, though there were outbreaks in several small towns and many arrests were made. The Jesuits had little opportunity *o protest against their suppression with their chief organ, “El Debate,” suspended. It is believed they will lea vs the country quietly. Educationists are wondering how to replace eminent teachers specialising in mathematics, physics and philosophy. COMMUNIST GOVERNMENT. ) PROCLAIMED AT ALCORISA. Barcelona, Janfl 25. Troops were hurriedly ordered to Alcorisa, near Saragossa, where the revolutionaries have proclaimed a Communist Government and seized the municipal funds, the railway and dynamite stores.
