AUSTRALIA DAY
NEW YORK CELEBRATION. (United Press Association—Sw CableCopyright.) (Received 27, 10.50 a.m.) New York, Jan. 26. Australia Day was celebrated at the British Luncheon Club, where addresses were given by Mr. Dow and Air. Gatty. Among the guests was the British Consul-General and trade representatives of Canada and South Africa? A telegram was received from tho Ambassador, Mr. Lindsay, extending greetings. Mr. Dow, later, in a radio address, outlined Australia’s efforts at rehabilitation after the depression, and concluded by saying, “Australia will be there.’’
