Endeavours are being made by the sub-committee appointed for the purpose to expedite the raising of £lO,OOO worth of insurance required by the Pruden tial Assurance Company before it will lend to the Napier municipality the sum of £lO,OOO equired for streetwidening and the splaying back of corners. At yesterday’s meeting of the Napier Rotary Club Mr T. M. Geddis made an appeal to members to do all in their power to assist the sub-committee in the task, lie explained that some 26 policies, each for £250, had already been obtained and that about 14 more for the same amount would be sufficient. The insured person could take out either a life or an endowment policy as he desired.
