ANOTHER AUSTRALIAN FLIGHT. (Received 30, 9.50 a.m.) London, Dec. 29. Jeffrey Jenkins has left for Australia in a Do Soutter monoplane with a 120 h.p. Gipsy engine, flying in easy stages. FAIREY ’PLANE ONLY SLIGHTLY DAMAGED. (Received 30, 12.30 p.m.) Rugby, December 29. Careful inspection revealed that only minor damage was suffered by the Fairey long-distance monoplane during the recent forced landing at Saffron Walden. It is now ascertained thet it will be in readiness to attempt to recover the non-stop long distance flight to the Cape in January. EXPERIMENTAL AIR MAIL FLIGHT. (Received 30, 12.30 p.m.) Rugby, December 29. It is expected that tho Australian National Airways’, experimental direct flight to Australia will leave England with mails ou January 6. The Post Office announces that letters will be accepted for the Southern Star’s return flight until January 5.
