HASTINGS CLUB’S TOURNEY EXCELLENT PROGRESS MADE NEARING THE FINALS. Splendid progress was made with the various title events in the Hastings Lawn Tennis Club’s championships and handicap tournament yesterday, when excellent weather prevailed for the second day’s play. Throughout the day there was a big crowd of spectators, who were afforded many first-class games.
The junior men’s championship was annexed by R. White, of Hastings, who beat his club mate J. Cowan 7 —5, 6—4 in a very even and fast game.
