HOLIDAY MATCHES ARRANGED COMPETITIONS SUSPENDED There will be no competition cricket matches played on December 26 or January 2 next, in order to allow for Christmas and New Year friendly matches to take place. It is hoped that a colt’s team from Wellington will be able to pay a visit to Napier, while a junior match will be played between Napier and Kaiwaka on Nelson Park. The annual fixture, Napier versus Hastings (third grade) will also be played on the two above dates, the teams playing at Napier one Saturday and at Hastings the following Saturday. The definite date of the Kaiwaka match has not yet been de cided. INTER-COLLECE CRICKET. HIGH SCHOOL TOURING TEAM The first eleven of the Napier Bovs’ High School leave Napier on Monday next for Masterton and Palmerston, to play their annual matches against the Wairarapa, and Palmerston North High Schools.
