Any fear that might have been in existence to the health of Napier owmg to the conditions which have arisen as a result of the earthquake have now apparently been dispelled in official sources, and this is borne out by the fact that Dr. Richie, who has been stationed at Napier by the Health Department since the ’quake, has now been recalled, leaving this morning for his previous headquarters in Dunedin.
