SPLIT AT CHRISTCHURCH, TRADES HALL FACTIONS. By Telegraph—Press Association Christchurch, November 9. A new body, the Canterbury Industrial Association of Workers, has been established. The association has as its main object "unity,” but according to statements made, it is destined to cause a definite split between two factions in the Trades Hall—those who support the existing organisation, the Canterbury Trades and Labour Council, and those associated with the new body. With the organisations supporting the Alliance of Labour there will now' be three shades of industrial opinion among the unions of th c city.
