FRESH CONDITIONS SOBT. NO TERMS REACHED ON MAJOR ISSUES. By Telegraph—Proas Association. Wellington. August 25. A dispute connected with the shear, ing industry was heard in the Conciliation Council to-day. Mr. P. Hally presiding. Both employers and workers were applicants for fresh conditions and, by common consent, the discussion was on a Dominion basis. It was found impossible to come to terms in regard to a number of the major causes of the dispute, such as wage rates and preference, and it was decided that these and other points be referred to the Arbitration Court for consideration.
