DESIGN COMPETITION OPENED. “Times” Cable. (Received 22. 10.30 a m.) London, Aug. 21. “The Times” Berlin correspondent states that tho national war memorial committee has opened a competition for all “artistically active German citizens” for the most suitable design for the memorial which it is proposed to erect in a beautiful piece of secluded woodland near Weimar. The designs must be kept within the simplicity demanded by the needs of the times and the dignity of tho subject
