The first Pacific international Christian Endeavour convention was opened yesterday in Sydney, when upwards of 2000 delegates from all parts of Australia aud New Zealand were present. The Rov. Lionel Fletcher, New Zealand president of the movement, will represent the world president, Dr. Daniel Folding, of the United States. Mr Fletcher- conducted the inaugural proceedings in the Sydney Town Hall and he will play a prominent part in all the subsequent sessions until the closing day, Tuesday. Mrs. Fletcher officially opened the junior exhibition last night and a huge welcome rally occurs in this connection in the City Town Hall. Spanish Constitution. Limited, condemning staggering taxation, said the whole idea seemed to be to tax the thrifty in order to provide free services for those who neither toil nor spin.
