Cockcrow figured among the yearlings sent up to auction in New South Wales in the autumn of 1927, end be was purchased by the Melbourne sportsman Mr. W. Leonard for 325 guineas. Nelson Cricket Club (Lancashire) has signed Constantine for another term of three seasons. His present contract expires at the end of the present season. Nelson expected some difficulty in signing Constantine for a period of years, as the West Indies are to play in England in 1933, but Constantine is evidently satisfied with the terms at Nelson. A sensatfon was caused* in French athletic circles recently when Dr. Peltzer, the famous German athlete, was seen training with Jules Ladenmegue, the Frenchman, in the Jean Bouin Stadium. Peltier stated that he intended to train specially for the 400 and 800 metres at the next Olympic Games.
