Air N. S. Browne, owner of n farm at the Mangorei Cross Road, recently made an interesting discovery of an outcrop on his property. This is in the form of a small reef in the bed of the Henui stream, which may possibly prove to be Fnller’s Earth. The stone crushes readily and has wonderful cleansing properties. For brass and copper and other metals the powder produces a high nolish and yet does not leave. any trace of a scratch. It has been used too as a tooth powder with excellent results. If applied with very hot water it will remove grease stains from clothes. For cleansing milk cans it is also most satisfactory. Mr. Browne is sending a sample of the rock to the Dominion Analyst, uinil the report will he awaited with some interest Mr. Browne thinks that some II ven’s ago the reef was discovered. lo’ ■■ ■■ it was wnr ' n r-'.: lr . f.,... „ • f,, jj .'enl vi'b.c... ’Ji !
