NEW YEAR CELEBRATIONS

HASTINGS CITIZENS’ BAND.

On New Year’s Eve (Wednesday) the Hastings Citizen’s Band will hold their usual New Year celebrations in Queen Square. This function has proved to be a very popular one for some years past, and it is anticipated that a larger crowd than ever will be present on this occasion. Dancing on the green will be the order of the evening, and patrons can be assured of a good night's fun. The Band will play the dance music, interspersed with popular musical numbers. Ice cream will be supplied on the ground, also soft drinks, etc. On the strike of midnight all are asked to join in singing “Auld Lang Svne” and thus welcome in the New Year, 1931. The band will leave Roachs’ corner at 9 o’clock and play through the town.
