NO MASTER CRIMINALS

EDGAR WALLACE’S VIEW.

[United Pres* Association—By CableCopyright.) (Received 30, 1.55 a.m.) Berlin, Dec. 29. Edgar Wallace, the writer, visited Germany and de’clared that there were no master criminals nowdays. “If I were not a writer I could be a most capable criminal,” he said, “and easily earn money swindling. I might turn into a criminal for the sake of the sensation if England only possessed an inspired detective.” Ho adds, however, that writing about crime is “more moral and more profitable.”
