NAPIER COURT

(Before Messrs C. J- Bteevens and F. C. Main, J’s.P.) (TO-DAY’S PROCEEDINGS. A charge of unlawfully carrying a revolver beyond the limits of his dwelling, on December 29, was preferred against John Adulphor Lognr. Detective-Sergeant Fitzgibbon stated that the accused, who was a respectable citizen of Napier had been seen brandishing tho revolver in a billiard room. The act was a serious one, as the revolver was loaded in all chamber*. 1 The accused explan-od that he nad put the weapon in hi* pocket absent1 mindedly while at homo He had not intended to commit any harm with it. The Bench imposed a fine of £2 and an order was made that the revolver be confiscated by the police.
