CHURCH NOTES

The subject at the United Hall on Sunday night will be “Resurrection and Judgment to Come.” All interested are invited.

At St. Matthew’s Church there will be services of the Holy Communion at 8 a.m and after matins at 12 noon. The Collect, Epistle and Gospel for Holy Innocents Day will bs used at 8 a.m and for Sunday after Christmas at 12 noon. Matins and sermon will be at 11 a.m. At the evening 7 p.m. service Christmas carols will be sung by the congregation.

At the Hastings Baptist Church; Karamu road, to-morrow, the sermon will be m keeping with the passing of the year. The subject in the morning will be “The Untrodden Pathway.’' The monthly service at Pukahu will be held, commencing at 2.30 p.m. ■ In the evening the sermon subject will be, “A Strange Ending.” The choir will render anthems at both services. The preacher for the day will be the Rev. E. Nicholls. Visitors to the town will be heartily welcomed at the church. The Rev, W. J. Oxbrow will conduct the’services in the Hastings Methodist Church to-morrow. The morning subject will be “The Divine. Displacement.” Miss Joyce Symonds will sing “The Gift.” The sermon topic in the evening will' be “The Sympathy of Jesus.” A solo will be rendered bj Miss Olive Thomas, of Napier, “’Come Unto Him” (“Messiah”). Anthems by the senior and junior choirs.
