WANGANUI LADIES’ TOURNEY. SEMI-FINALS REACHED. Wanganui, Oct. 2. The Wanganui ladies’ golf tournament was continued at the Belmont links to-day in perfect golfing weather, and, as a result of the day’s nlay, tho semi-finals were reached in the championship. The second round results were as follow: — Mrs. Earle lost to Mrs. Cook. Mrs. Broderick lost to Mrs. Collinson. Mrs. Grace lost to Miss Currie. Miss Quartermain lost to Miss Gaisford. In the semi-finals to-morrnw morning. Miss Currie will play Miss Gnisfnrd, and Mrs. Collinson will plav Mrs. Cook. The final will be played in the afternoon. HASTINGS LADIES’ CLUB. The following were the best scores in the L.G.U. monthly medal match played on September 30th: — Nett Miss D. Thompson 91 17 7-1 Mrs. Davies 91 18 76 Mt-. Jones ll'i 30 79 The fallowing off in fhe final of the Piucknev Memorial Boney:— Mrs. Davies plows Mi's Wellwood Mvs. Jones nl.nvs Mrs. Findlav. The distribution of prizes won durirq the season will take place at the links on Tuesday next. October 7th. A medal match, in coniunction with L.G.U.. will be nlayed. Partners will be drawn on Friday.
