At Hamilton (Ontario), running as a guest in the weekly twilight meet of the Hamilton Olympic Club on Friday night, Allan Hillhouse, of the Australia team, won the thive miles race in a stirring battle with Savidan (New Zealand). He bettered the Canadian record for the evfcnt, his time being 14 minutes 25} seconds. Golding (Australia) ran a quartermile in 50 seconds. He was placed second to Wheeler, of Hamilton, with a 30 yards handicap. Australia and New- Zealand are anxious for Canadian athletes to visit there in December and January. The managers of the teams stated on Friday that an effort would be made to secure Williams. Olympic sprint champion, Ball, quarter-miler, Edwards, half-miler, and others.
