“If you smoke here, you will smoke hereafter!’’ Such js tho rather startling title of a leaflet distributed broadcast by a London Anti-Tobacco Association. This should be interesting to devotees of tho weed. There is a lot of nonsense written and uttered, about tobacco. Smoking is no crime! And if it makes existence more enjoyable for most of us (as it assuredly docs), why should wo not indulge? Tho “one tiling needful” is that tho tobacco should bo pure. Imported brands seldom are. How can they be seeing that most of them arc poisonous with nicotine? Cases innumerable there arc of heart or nerve trouble due to excess of poison in the leaf. Nicotine can be largely eliminated, however, by toasting the tobacco. This process renders it per--fectlv innocuous. It also gives it its famous bouquet and incomparable flavour. There are only four brands of toasted on the market —Riverhead r nli|. Cavo-'-lish. Navv Cut No. 2. nnd Cut I’l’g No. 10. Of course there arc Did you ever know r. good thing that wasn’t imitated.* A shinin'’ example of a rood prlisl- - “TAN-01.” cleans, polishes and preset res. Gives i. lasting polish.
