DAFFODIL SOCIETY. (Own Correspondent). The annual meeting of the Takapau Daffodil Society (under the auspices ol the Takapau Presbyterian Church) was held on Thursday evening. It was decided that the annual show bo held on Wednesday. September 17. and that full prize money, irrespective fo the number of entries in a particular class, would be paid out. The resignation of Mrs. W. G. Morton. as honorary secretary, a position which Mrs. Morton had very capably filled for some vears past, was accented with much regret. Officers for the year were appointed ns follows President. Mrs. W. J. Morton : vice-presidents. Mesdames J. Ca ugh lev W. J Craig. Messrs. J. Maudslev and N M. Paulsen; hon. secretary.
