MANAWATU MEETING PADDON MAKES AMENDS. BROAD ACRE AGAIN. [Per Press Association.! Palmerston North, August 2. The second day’s rices of the Mauawatu Meeting are being held in improved weather, and there is a good attendance. The course is excellent. Results:—

Flaxbourne Handicap.—3 Powhiri 1, 5 Mandate 2.2 Maidos 3. All started. Won by two and a-half lengths; two lengths between second and third. Time, 4.34 2-o.
