On behalf of the Waikato natives, the Akarana -Maori Association has communicated with the Minister ol Marine in connection with proposed restrictions on the whitebait industry. Air J. Rukutai, chairman of the Akarana Maori Association, stat ed that the natives are concerned lest anything should ho done to rctrict the fishing rights held by the Maoris under the Treaty of Waitangi. The association has asked that it should be advised of any proposed new regulations affecting whitebait. Air Rukutai said that since ancient times dried whitebait had formed a food supply. If regulations were necessary to preserve a fish it wa s a different matter, but regulations did not entrench on lights that -Maoris had. The scientific precaution against coughs, colds and influenza—disinfect the circle of infection, that is Hie passages of the nose and throat, with “NAZOL.” A powerful, penetrating germicide.
