A BRITISH ACHIEVEMENT. HUGE PASSENGER LINER. [British Official Wireless.! (Received 12 12.30 p.m.) Rugby, June 11. A British passenger aeroplane Weighing, when fully loaded, approximately 13 tons, and able to carry 43 people at a speed of 100 miles an hour, is soon to undergo her first flying trials. This giant machine is the first of a super fleet to be employed by the Imperial Airways Ltd. on the main air lines. It will be driven by four engines, developing a total of 2240 h.p. and has been designed and constructed by the Handley Page Company.
