The programme ocnsisted of n pianoforte duet by Mrs and Miss Blair, two folk songs by five Institute members, a song by Mrs Duff Boyd, a very charming gavotte by Mrs Meads and Miss B. Bridgman, while Mrs Webb sang the accompanying song, with Mrs Leedom at the piano. Then followed a piano solo by Miss I. Clayton. Afternoon tea was handed round and each member was given a piece of the beautiful birthday cake, made and iced by Mrs Goldfinch. The tea hostesses were Mesdames Clarkson. Douglas Williams. Pike, Gilbertson, Rush G. Cook and Miss Nairn. After afternoon tea followed an amusing sketch, entitled “Silent Sarah,” by Mrs Webb and Mrs Meads, and afterwards a recitation by Mrs Strang.
