PLUNKET SOCIETY

HASTINGS BRANCH. MONTHLY MEETING. The usual monthly meeting of the Hastings branch of the Royal New Zealand Society for the Health of Women and Children was held on Tuesday. Present: Miss Williams (chair) Mesdames Nelson, Buchanan, Herrick, Gordon, Hallett, Maddison. McLeod, Roach. Stubbs, Tonkin, and R. Sunderland 'asst. hon. secretary).

The nurses’ report for February submitted to the meeting read ts follows .—New cases 20, visitors to office 1175 visits to homes 290, advice over telephone ’'O. letters re ceived 5, letters written 4. Arrangements were made for the Plunket budding on the show ground to be open on March 19, at the Autumn Show. The date for the shop and jumble sale was fixed for May 3rd. Mrs. Buchanan and Mrs. McLeod were appointed visiting committee for the ensuing month. .
