FURTHER RESULTS. Games played in connection with the Hawke’s Bay handicap and championship croquet tournament it Hastings yesterday (further to those published) resulted as follows:— CHAMPIONSHIPS. Open Doubles. Mrs. Watkins and Stratton 26 beat Mrs. Tiffen and Mrs. Harvey 25. It was unfortunate that Mrs. Gambrill (Palmerston North) and Mrs. Simpson and Miss' McFarlane (also from Palmerston) were unable to take part yesterday. They had been competing at Dannovirke, and were unable to reach Hastings until late last evening. Their non-nrrival meant that Mrs. Pitcaithley (in the championships) and Mrs. Crichton fin the handicaps) had to go without their games. Ladies’ Singles. First life.—Mrs. Tiffen 26 beat Mrs ■Heenan 15. Mrs. Henderson 26 beat Mrs. Mntthewson 19. Mrs. Esson 26 beat Mrs. McCarthy 22. Open Singles. Stratton beat Hindman 26—15 and 26—11. HANDICAPS. A. Grade Singles. Mrs. Lowry 26 beat Mrs, I.ogan 12; Mrs. Freedman 26 heat Mrs. McDonald 5; Mrs. Heenan won from Mrs. Simpspn by default.
